The New Jersey Safe Schools Program (NJSS) is implementing a special grant-funded initiative in partnership with the New Jersey Department of Education. The goal is to provide teachers free work-based learning supervisory trainings for career and technical education (CTE) and nonhazardous occupations throughout the state via targeted recruitment.

To be eligible, teachers must hold a New Jersey teacher certificate, with confirmed certification credentials in CTE, agricultural education, business, and/or family and consumer sciences.

For eligible teachers, there will be six cohorts of trainings available between mid-fall 2021 and summer 2022. Participants are selected and assigned to cohorts #1-6 using the application form via PsychData. To access and submit the application form, please visit the website.

NJSS, in collaboration with state agencies, has a number of resources regarding COVID-19. To access official state and U.S. federal agency guidance, please visit webpages listed in each NJSS e-newsletter under the section titled “Official State and Federal COVID-19 Guidance” in the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 school years (expanded with more resources as warranted).
