NJSBA’s Virtual Workshop will feature more than 140 sessions, including a variety of sessions on school technology and cybersecurity.

The event, co-sponsored by the New Jersey School Boards Association, the New Jersey Association of School Administrators, and the New Jersey Association of School Business Officials, will take place from Oct. 26 to Oct. 28.

Here are some highlights of sessions focused on technology and cybersecurity. The full agenda is coming soon.

  • K-12 Student Success Using Google Cloud From real-time insights and personalized assistants to collaboration tools and more, learn how Google Cloud’s Student Success Services offers K-12 districts powerful ways to improve school workflow and student learning outcomes at scale. Gain teaching and learning insights through smart analytics, improve distance learning with collaboration tools, and manage risk and security by using the latest digital tools.
  • Digital Schools: Data Safety and Security Policy Hear from the experts from the Sustainable Jersey  Digital Schools Program about how establishing and maintaining data safety and security policies helps to mount effective strategies that counteract the increasing threat of cyberattacks. In June 2020, the New Jersey Department of Education, NJSBA, and Sustainable Jersey created the Digital Schools Program to support K-12 schools in digital learning, a critically important initiative as schools pivoted to remote learning.
  • Digital Management Controls: Keep School Documents and Records Secure This session will help school officials navigate and manage their current records management storage systems, both on-site and off-site, and their existing policy and procedures for them. Learn about the New Jersey Department of Treasury records management rules and regulations, what is driving the transition to electronic documents, and how to effectively manage digital records.

About NJSBA’s Virtual Workshop 2021   NJSBA’s Virtual Workshop 2021 will offer multiple tracks of live training sessions over three full days. It will also feature compelling keynote speakers, an interactive exhibit floor, and exciting special events.

Registration Details NJSBA is offering a special group rate of $900 for up to 25 team members, including school board members, superintendents, school business administrators, IT directors, facilities directors, principals, and other district staff. That’s only $36 per person. The individual member rate is $450 per person.

New Registration Process for 2021 The group registration process for Workshop 2021 has changed. Please review the group rate registration instructions before starting if you are registering two or more team members. Select “individual” registration ONLY if you are registering one person. Registration is available online and must be handled by the business administrator.
