Workshop 2023 is under one month away, and the New Jersey School Boards Association is gearing up to welcome thousands of school officials to Atlantic City for its annual conference. Workshop is the largest professional development event for school leaders in New Jersey with over 200 training programs. Workshop will run from Monday, Oct. 23 through Thursday, Oct. 26 at the Atlantic City Convention Center.
Fulfilling your mandated training requirements at Workshop is easy. Workshop 2023 will offer sessions for all governance training levels – Governance I, II, III, and IV. See the schedule below for details.
Monday, Oct. 23
- Governance I: New Board Member Orientation.
- 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Room 303.
- Governance IV: School Law Update.
- 2 – 3 p.m., Room 317.
Tuesday, Oct. 24
- Governance IV: School Law Update.
- 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m., Room 317.
Wednesday, Oct. 25
- Governance IV: School Law Update.
- 2:15 – 3:45 p.m., Room 317.
Thursday, Oct. 26
- Governance II: First term, second full year of service – Finance.
- 10 – 11:30 a.m., Room 304.
- Governance III: First term, third full year of service – Student Achievement.
- 10 – 11:30 a.m., Rooms 308-309.
Note: Registration for mandated training is separate from that of Workshop 2023 and must be handled by your school business administrator. Ask them to register you for your mandated training today.

Register for Workshop 2023 The group rate of $2,200 covers 25 team members and may include: the school board, business administrator, superintendent, facilities managers, curriculum professionals, IT staff, principals, human resource professionals and other district staff.
