The New Jersey School Boards Association’s School Finance Conference is fast approaching: It will be held Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at the Conference Center at Mercer County Community College.

As part of the afternoon program, a newly-announced session, “Communications and Compliance with Accountability Regulations,” will feature representatives from the New Jersey School Public Relations Association to highlight how your district can navigate the many facets of communicating with the community, including the fiscal accountability regulations. They will also share how their members assist their respective districts with communicating important financial topics such as budgets, bond referendums and capital projects to stakeholders.

The session will feature Lori Perlow, communications consortium, Haddon Township School District; Maren Smagala, district communications coordinator, North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District; and Paul Zeller, director of technology and communication, Pascack Valley Regional School District.

The session will be from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. To view an ongoing agenda of the conference, which is in-person only, visit our website.
