Lauren Knopp, a rising senior at Ocean City High School in Cape May County, will be the State Board of Education student representative for the 2022-2023 school year.

The permanent student representative to the State Board of Education is selected through the N. J. Association of Student Councils and serves as the State Board’s liaison to the student community.

The student representative serves for 12 months as a nonvoting member at the State Board’s public meetings. The student representative also makes a presentation to the board at each public meeting.

Knopp will be featured at Workshop 2022 as a keynote speaker.
