Notice of a Second Grant Opportunity to Promote Climate Awareness Education

The anticipated average award amount for eligible districts is approximately $6,500. An additional 15% in funding will be provided to Schools Development Authority districts, for an anticipated total amount of approximately $7,500.

NJDOE Allocates $4.5M in Grants to Support Climate Change Education in Schools

In the state fiscal year 2023 budget, Gov. Phil Murphy and the Legislature allocated $4.5 million to support climate change education grants to schools. The New Jersey Department of Education announced the availability of those grants Feb. 15.

Rutgers Team to Use Grant Money to Teach Fifth Graders How to Curb Food Waste, Fight Climate Change

Fifth graders at four New Jersey elementary schools will learn how food waste contributes to climate change – and what they can do about it – thanks to $335,263 that the Rutgers Cooperative Extension Food Waste Team has received from a state grant.
