On June 30, the new state budget was signed, as well as several education measures.

The state reminded boards of education and local governments of their responsibilities when working with contractors or subcontractors.

NJSBA is looking for engaging, creative and thoughtful submissions for Workshop 2022, to be held at the Atlantic City Conference Center Oct. 24-26.

Maryellen LaFronz received the Bergen County School Boards Association’s Archie F. Hay Award at its June 27 meeting.

The State Board elected Kathy Goldenberg as president and Andrew Mulvihill as vice president.

Dr. Delaney, a career educator, had been a member of the Matawan Aberdeen Board of Education since 2009.
