New Jersey Performance Reports for Educator Preparation Programs (NJ PREPP)

The New Jersey Department of Education has released the Educator Preparation Provider Performance Reports (NJ PREP) to provide transparent data on teacher preparation providers. This presentation will provide an overview of the NJ PREP and offer suggestions for uses of the reports for school boards, school and district leaders and hiring entities.

The Educator Preparation Programs (EPPs) provide reports on New Jersey public school teachers and their performance and persistence data to the institution where the teachers were trained. These reports include information on Certification and Licensure, Hiring and Persistence, School Placement and Classroom Assignment, Post-Secondary Education, and AchieveNJ Evaluation for program completers. The purpose of the reports is to promote continuous improvement and supply hiring entities and perspective educators with data about EPPs and their graduates.
