Join us as we bring together Board Members from across the county to honor the dedication, milestones, and achievements that elevate our local communities and support student success. Evening Highlights & Honors: During this special spring celebration, we will proudly feature: Keynote Address: A special presentation by 2026–2027 Bergen County Teacher of the Year Thomas Villa, Science Teacher at Northern Valley Regional High School at Old Tappan in the Northern Valley Regional School District, celebrating classroom excellence and profound impact on our community. Academy Certifications: Recognizing individual Board Members who have earned personal certifications through the NJSBA Board Member Academy this past year. Board Member Milestones: Honoring our dedicated, long-serving Board Members celebrating major milestones (10, 15, 20+ years) on their local boards. The 2027 Janet Lobsenz Award: Recognizing exceptional leadership and commitment to public education. The 2027 Dr. Archie F. Hay Award: Honoring a distinguished member of a Bergen County Board of Education for exemplary service.
