Rising health insurance costs continue to place significant pressure on school district budgets and long-term financial planning. This session will explore the factors driving healthcare cost increases and the impact on district operations, budgeting, and resource allocation. Strategies districts are using to manage costs for budget sustainability will be discussed. Jim Finn from Brown & Brown will present and discuss the different types of insurance available to school districts, as well as provide an overview of Chapters 44 and 78 and their impact on district healthcare decisions.
