The New Jersey Department of Education’s Office of School Preparedness and Emergency Planning (OSPEP) continues to promote safety and security in our schools. OSPEP will host one-day School Safety and Security Symposiums at three locations throughout the state.

This event is open to school staff and first responders dedicated to enhancing school safety and security. The full-day agenda will feature a keynote session and a variety of breakout sessions, providing all attendees with important information related to school safety protocols.

The Symposium will run from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m., beginning with the keynote address, followed by breakout sessions that will be 70 minutes in length.

There is no fee to attend; however, space is limited, and registration is required. School Safety Specialists who attend this training will receive up to four hours toward certification renewal.
