The Leonia Public School District Board of Education seeks a visionary superintendent to further enhance its exemplary and equitable education for all students. The district consists of three schools: Anna C. Scott Elementary School (Pre-K–4), Leonia Middle School (5–8), and Leonia High School (9–12), with students from Edgewater, NJ attending grades 7–12 through a send/receive relationship. Leonia is an inclusive community, with families from various and diverse backgrounds which creates a dynamic learning environment. The district is committed to student success, equity, and celebrating its rich cultural identity.

The Leonia Board of Education is looking for a collaborative leader who thrives in a high-expectation, diverse community. The ideal candidate will have experience as a principal or district-level administrator, along with strong leadership and communication skills aligned with a future-ready educational vision. The candidate should be committed to fostering a positive, inclusive climate of mutual respect, while being visible, accessible, and engaged with all stakeholders. They will ensure an inclusive, rigorous educational experience for all students, while overseeing general operations, including finance, personnel, and school safety.

The ideal leader will be dynamic, empathetic, and approachable, able to engage the school community, model integrity, and inspire others to work toward the district’s shared vision. They will lead our diverse community by possessing the following skills:
