About Millburn Middle School Serving students in grades 6–8, Millburn Middle School plays a vital role in bridging the elementary and high school experience for a community of approximately 1,100 students. Supported by a dedicated faculty and staff of 150, the school is proud of its commitment to meeting the needs of all students while maintaining the district’s tradition of high achievement and future-ready teaching and learning.
Position Summary:
The District is seeking a talented, forward-thinking educational leader to serve as the next Principal of Millburn Middle School. The ideal candidate will be an instructional leader focused on learning and student growth, providing students with challenging programs, focusing on the whole-child experience, and building a school culture of respect and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the instructional leader, demonstrating expertise in curriculum design, assessment, classroom instruction, and data-driven decision-making.
- Manage the administration of the school in areas such as student safety, personnel, district policies/regulations, budgeting, school procedures, and discipline matters.
- Facilitate effective communication with students, staff, and the community.
- Collaborate effectively with school stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Hold or be eligible for a valid New Jersey Principal Certificate.
- Master’s Degree required.
- Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience.
- Minimum of three years of experience as a successful school administrator or supervisor is preferred.
- NJ residency required.
Start Date: July 1, 2026
Annual Salary Range: $149,832 – $182,283
Based on MAA MS Principal salary guide (Commensurate with experience)
