Superintendent

The Franklin Township School District is looking for a dynamic leader who is willing to commit to the nearly 7,500 students in its district. Franklin Township, located in Somerset County, New Jersey, is a large and diverse suburban community in the Raritan Valley region within the New York metropolitan area. Covering approximately 47 square miles, the township blends suburban neighborhoods, commercial areas, farmland, and open space. The township has an estimated population of about 70,000 residents. The community is known for its cultural diversity, strong civic engagement, parks and recreational resources, and support for high-quality public schools, making it an attractive place for families and professionals.

The Board of Education is seeking someone who has:

• A visionary, forward-thinking leader with a proven track record as a results-oriented administrator who understands a large, involved and diverse community;
• Demonstrated success as a superintendent, assistant superintendent, or central office leader in a large, diverse, high-expectation district is preferred;
• Teaching experience and a record of supporting effective instruction;
• Proven ability to navigate board relations, governance, and policy;
• Strong budget management and understanding of New Jersey school finance, including current school funding challenges;
• Must hold or be eligible for New Jersey School Administrator Certificate.
