Superintendent – Chester School District

Chester School District

Website

The Chester Board of Education seeks a visionary superintendent to lead our vibrant and innovative district into the future. With a strong focus on digital literacy, sustainability, safety, and hands-on learning, this PK-8 district offers a dynamic learning environment for our 1,026 students across three Future Ready certified schools—Dickerson Elementary School (K-2), Bragg Intermediate School (3 – 5), and Black River Middle School (6 – 8). Our high school students attend West Morris Regional High School District.

The Chester School District is a place where academic rigor meets a strong sense of community. The district’s focus on student achievement is evident in its performance in state assessments and the experiences provided to our students to explore and develop their unique talents.  Students benefit from cutting-edge programs in STEM, world languages, the arts, and a wide range of extracurricular activities from over 50 clubs to competitive athletics. Community organizations like the Chester PTO and Educational Foundation of the Chesters provide valuable resources. Together, the district’s educators, families, and community members work toward a common goal: to provide students with the tools they need to thrive academically, socially, and personally.
