Lumberton Township Board of Education, a proud, diverse, and close-knit community, is seeking an experienced and hands-on educational leader to serve as our next Superintendent. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a respected district that prepares students to meet the challenges of the modern world. With approximately 1,181 students in grades pre-k through 8th, a dedicated staff of 215, and a budget of $29.5 million, Lumberton is committed to academic excellence and student success. Students in grades 9-12 attend the Rancocas Valley Regional School District.
The ideal candidate is a proven leader with demonstrated success in personnel development, raising academic performance, school finance, and operations. They will be a highly visible and engaged presence as well as approachable, hands-on, and actively involved in the daily life of our schools. Expertise in behavior and discipline management is essential. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and culture-builder, able to foster trust and collaboration with staff, students, families, and community. They will be a champion for morale, cultivating a high-performing school culture where everyone thrives.
Qualifications:
- New Jersey School Administrator Certificate or Certificate of Eligibility required.
- Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Principal, or other central office experience preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of classroom teaching experience preferred.
Compensation:
- Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications; subject to NJ State
