The Park Ridge Board of Education seeks an innovative, student-centered Superintendent to lead a supportive family-oriented PK-12 district that values strong academics, small class sizes and broad student opportunities. The Superintendent will cultivate an inclusive and positive culture that promotes academic growth, guide the district with strategic vision and integrity, and build trust and strong partnerships among students, staff, families and the BOE. The ideal candidate is an engaging communicator, thoughtful decision-maker and inspiring leader dedicated to the success of every child.
The district serves approximately 1140 students across three schools, supported by 250 staff members, and a $40.2 million budget. It offers a rigorous curriculum aligned with NJSLS, full-day kindergarten, advanced course work including AP courses, internships, experiential learning and extensive arts, athletics and extracurricular programs. Candidates should bring a proven record of elevating student success, expertise in curriculum design and instruction, finance and budgeting, long-range planning, personnel management and effective communication and leadership skills.
Qualifications:
- NJ School Administrator Certificate or Certificate of Eligibility (CE) required
- Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent or Central office experience preferred
- Principal experience preferred
- Classroom teaching experience preferred
- Earned Doctorate preferred
The Board of Education expects to offer a salary in the range of $225,000 – $240,000 and a competitive benefits package including sick leave, vacation days, personal days, health insurance, dental / vision insurance, life insurance, retirement contributions and professional membership dues. It is anticipated that the total compensation package will be regionally competitive and based on successful experience and education. The initial contract will be for a multi-year period, as authorized by New Jersey statute.
