NJSBA has prepared resources to help public bodies, organizations and local school districts recognize the important role that boards of education play in their communities.
Notice is hereby provided of the regular meeting of the New Jersey School Boards Association's Executive Committee, to be held on Friday, Jan. 5, 2024, at 3 p.m. at the NJSBA Headquarters, 413 West State St., Trenton.
Under the law, newly elected board members who do not undergo a criminal history background investigation within the 30-day period could be declared ineligible to serve in office until it is submitted.
In most cases, a vacancy is filled by a majority vote of the remaining members of the board after the vacancy occurs.
