On Monday, Nov. 9, the Educational Leadership Foundation of New Jersey will host Cultivating Creativity: Strategies for Sustaining Arts Education at Grounds for Sculpture, a premier year-round, 42-acre sculpture park located in Hamilton, New Jersey.
The program, delivered in partnership with fellow nonprofit organizations Grounds for Sculpture, Teen Arts NJ, and Arts Ed NJ, will provide practical, actionable strategies for supporting arts programs and bringing vital arts resources to districts.
Teen Arts NJ will offer guidance on supporting arts programs in high school and beyond. Participants will learn about initiatives that help students build confidence in their ideas, as well as ways to support next steps in higher education and career development.
Arts Ed NJ will provide advocacy guidance to support school arts programs alongside resources from its newly released Inclusion Guide for Arts Education, which ensures that students with disabilities are fully included in arts programs.
As part of the day’s programming, participants will embark on a guided tour of the Grounds for Sculpture. The tour will highlight the park’s interactive exhibits and large-scale installations, demonstrating how creative spaces can be leveraged as dynamic, hands-on learning environments that inspire both educators and students.
Participants will leave with a clear framework for moving beyond simply bringing arts programs into a district, focusing instead on building arts experiences that reflect the unique needs, identities, and strengths of their school communities.
