ICYMI: Schools Required to Post School Meals Application Instructional Videos Online

On Sept. 4, the New Jersey Department of Agriculture’s Division of Food and Nutrition released information regarding the new requirement that schools post the School Meals and Summer EBT Application and at least one informational video provided by the Office of the Food Security Advocate (OFSA) on how to complete the application in a prominent section of the school’s website. This requirement went into effect beginning with the 2026-2027 school year due to N.J.S.A. 18A:33-21b2 (P.L.2026, c.14, signed June 18).

The series of brief videos produced by OFSA – entitled “Harness the Power of School Meals 2026-2027 School Year in New Jersey” – is now available for all participating schools on OFSA’s YouTube page.
