
The New Jersey School Boards Association is pleased to announce the appointment of Lori Perlow as interim chief public affairs officer. Through a shared service agreement with the Haddon Township School District Communication Consortium, Ms. Perlow will serve Consortium districts and the NJSBA through June 30, 2025.
Lori Perlow is a highly accomplished communications consultant with a proven track record of supporting New Jersey school districts. In her role as public information officer for the Haddon Township School District Communications Consortium, she spearheads comprehensive communication efforts, encompassing branding, strategic planning, crisis communications, media relations and website development. Notably, she has also demonstrated success in leading strategic communications for state and local bond referendum campaigns. Ms. Perlow was instrumental in establishing New Jersey’s first shared-service school communications model in partnership with the Camden County Educational Services Commission in 2018. Increasing access to shared services for school communication remains a professional commitment she brings to New Jersey schools.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Perlow served for eight years as the district communications officer and community liaison for the Mercer County Technical School District, where she managed a wide range of communication and outreach initiatives. Her background also includes nonprofit leadership and teaching experience, demonstrating her commitment to education and community engagement.
A recognized leader in school communications, Lori was honored with the 2017-2018 Front-Runner Award from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) and has received multiple NJSPRA School Communication Awards. As the Northeast Region Vice President for NSPRA and a former president of the New Jersey School Public Relations Association, she is a strong advocate for proactive school communications and a frequent presenter at national and local conferences.
The NJSBA is excited to welcome Lori Perlow to this vital role. Her extensive experience, proven leadership, and dedication to effective school communications will be a tremendous asset to both the Association and our members. Her work will undoubtedly contribute to building a stronger, more connected educational community.
