NJDOE Invites Districts to Join American Revolution Educational Initiative
The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) and RevolutionNJ invite K-12 schools and districts to become official education partners in commemorating the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, which will take place during the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 school years. The activities and supports developed as part of this effort are designed to last beyond the commemoration and be incorporated as curriculum staples to strengthen social studies education in New Jersey.
Revolutionary Schools are officially recognized partners of NJDOE and RevolutionNJ. The goal of the Revolutionary Schools program is to support and celebrate schools that commemorate the 250th anniversary through exemplary social studies education, civic engagement and local history research.
More information on the program, including a list of participating districts and the Revolutionary Schools sign-up form, can be found on NJDOE’s website.
