NJSBA will be releasing a series of podcasts this fall dealing with the importance of civility in all our dealings but particularly in public discourse and governance. This series will include conversations with not just school board members and administrators. It will include state legislators of both parties, school board trainers from other states, college students, as well as college administrators. This series will provide the listeners with the opportunity to hear about the importance of civility and be introduced to people who practice it and are trying to promote it.
The first in the series will feature a discussion of The Importance of Civil Public Discourse in a Democracy with Dr. Elizabeth Matto, director of the Eagleton Institute of Politics and research professor at Rutgers University.
