School Board Notes

The Murphy Administration announced a free testing program that school districts can utilize to comply with the recent Executive Order that unvaccinated school staff members be regularly tested for COVID-19.

Alisha De Lorenzo, a former educator for nearly 20 years and a licensed professional counselor, will speak live on educational leadership, forging relationships and connections and healing trauma at Virtual Workshop 2021.

NJSBA acknowledges the hard work, talent and dedication of the educators who have been honored.

NSBA urges school board members to contact their representatives in Congress and ask them to support funding to help close the “homework gap.”

The realignment will help promote collaboration and efficiency.

NJSBA has added the policies for compliance with Executive Order No. 251 and Executive Order 253 pertaining to preventing the spread of COVID-19.

Nominations for the NJSBA’s 2021-2022 Board Member of the Year Award are due Friday, Sept. 10.

The cutoff for submission of resolutions for the next NJSBA Delegate Assembly is 5 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021.

Notice is hereby provided of the regular meeting of the New Jersey School Boards Association’s Executive Committee, to be held Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at 1 p.m. at the NJSBA Headquarters, 413 West State St., Trenton.

The NJSBA Legislative Committee will meet virtually on Sept. 18, 2021.
