Workshop 2025 is less than two weeks away. The New Jersey School Boards Association cannot wait to welcome you and your district team to the Atlantic City Convention Center on Oct. 20-23.
As New Jersey’s largest professional development training conference for school officials, Workshop will welcome over 8,000 attendees over the course of four days. Explore the exhibit floor featuring hundreds of exhibitors or head upstairs to engage in professional development sessions. Workshop has so much to offer – read below for three things you can look forward to at this year’s conference.
1. Dedicated Exhibit Floor Time
This year, we are helping attendees maximize their time on the exhibit floor to allow more connections with the vendors, offering solutions for school districts. On Tuesday, Oct. 21 and Wednesday, Oct. 22, dedicated exhibit floor time will be built into the schedule.
Immediately following the opening ceremony on Tuesday at 8:45 a.m., attendees will have one hour of uninterrupted time to explore the exhibit floor before sessions begin at 10:30 a.m.
On Wednesday at 2 p.m., once attendees finish their afternoon training sessions, they will have another hour of uninterrupted time on the exhibit floor before the scheduled keynote speaker, Joe Theismann, takes the stage at 2:45 p.m. There will also be can’t-miss special events and surprises on the exhibit floor.
2. A Grammy-Winning Artist Takes the Stage
Kick off Workshop 2025 with a show-stopping musical event! The New Jersey School Boards Association is excited to welcome Grammy award-winning hip-hop violinist, Miri Ben-Ari, as Monday’s keynote speaker.
Miri Ben-Ari has collaborated with other award-winning artists such as Wyclef Jean, Alicia Keys, Britney Spears, Maroon 5, Patti Labelle, Donna Summer, Janet Jackson, John Legend and more. In addition to her work as a musical artist, Miri is a tech entrepreneur, music producer, and the founder of the award-winning high school program, Symphony of Brotherhood.
Join Miri on Monday, Oct. 20 at 1 p.m. in Room 303 for a musical, uplifting keynote address on the lessons she has learned from the Symphony of Brotherhood program and ways school leaders can unify for the greater good of students and public education.
3. EDTalks: Expert Thought Leadership
Workshop 2025 will offer lunchtime EDTalks at noon, and additional EDTalk sessions at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 22. The noon EDTalks present an exciting take on the “Lunch and Learn” experience, offering the opportunity to hear renowned speakers deliver compelling talks. Held at the Grandstand on the exhibit floor, these programs share ideas supporting students and district success.
