In its August 19 broadcast memo, the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) announced a new monthly briefing series for Chief School Administrators. These virtual sessions will cover a range of relevant topics designed to support LEAs, including updates on funding opportunities, curriculum and instruction, accountability requirements, teacher supports, and other emerging issues. The briefings will also provide an opportunity to share promising practices, highlight available resources, and discuss challenges and priorities facing school districts across the state.

The resources from these briefings are published on the NJDOE’s Superintendents Briefing webpage. The August briefing addressed such topics as recent news in school funding engagement, literacy, school climate, assessment, accountability and data reporting, educator workforce, early childhood services, and upcoming deadlines.
