TRENTON, September 12, 2017–Employee health coverage is a substantial piece of district operating budgets, and a very important benefit to staff members.
To help local districts understand the basics of health care plans (the platforms, options, deductibles, copays, etc.) and the complex regulatory environment, NJSBA is offering a Health Care Summit on Friday, Sept. 29. The program runs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (registration begins at 8:30 a.m.)
The conference will be held at New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Group, 501 Sullivan Way, West Trenton, NJ. This program is a building block for local boards and their advocates to not only prepare for collective negotiations, but also work toward effective school management.
NJSBA’s Health Care Summit offers 2 Board Member Academy Credits. Application for 3.2 Continuing Legal Education Credits for New Jersey lawyers is pending before the New Jersey Supreme Court, and 2.5 Qualified Purchasing Agent (QPA) credits is pending for business administrators.
Registration Information Registration for the program may be done online for the program date above, but only by the school business administrator. Business administrators wishing to register officials from their districts should have a scanned purchase order ready to attach to the registration.
Cost The registration fee for members is $75 and the fee for non-members is $150. The fee includes a continental breakfast and program materials.
