The Burlington County School Boards Association met on May 2 at the Medford Village Country Club in Medford, conducting a variety of business.
At the meeting, the board recognized new board members, honored Beth F. Norcia, superintendent of Maple Shade Schools, for being named the Regional County Superintendent of the Year; recognized Sheri Lowery of the Pemberton Township Board of Education for becoming a certified board member; Melissa DeClementi of the Mount Laurel Township Board of Education for becoming a master board member and Joseph Bucs of the Northern Burlington board and Terry Maldonado of the Pemberton board for earning their Certified Board Leader designation.
Barry Fitzgerald of the Lenape Regional Board of Education and the vice president for county activities of the New Jersey School Boards Association, attended and offered greetings on behalf of the NJSBA.
Michael McClure of the Maple Shade Board of Education and an NJSBA board of directors’ alternate delegate, provided an update. Mary Ann Friedman, a field service representative at NJSBA, delivered a report, as did Jonathan Pushman, director of governmental relations at NJSBA.
