The New Jersey School Boards Association is saluting board of education members during School Board Recognition Month.
In a video, the NJSBA highlights several board members, who give their reasons for serving their local communities.
As with board members throughout the state, some are newer board members while others have served many years.
They come from a variety of educational backgrounds, but they all have one thing in common: They are serving on their board of education to make a positive difference in the lives of children.
As reported earlier in School Board Notes, Gov. Phil Murphy recently proclaimed January to be School Board Recognition Month in New Jersey. NJSBA has posted a copy of the governor’s proclamation here.
