Job Goal
To efficiently manage and oversee all financial, operational, and administrative functions of the district, ensuring that resources are used effectively to support student learning and educational programs. This role provides strategic leadership in budgeting, facilities management, and business operations, while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and board policies.

Qualifications

  • Valid New Jersey School Business Administrator Certificate or eligibility required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of school finance, budgeting, and GAAP-compliant accounting practices
  • Experience with district operations, including facilities, transportation, and food services preferred
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal residency

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee in the development and administration of the annual school budget and oversee all financial operations
  • Serve as Board Secretary, including preparing agendas, attending meetings, and maintaining official records and minutes
  • Oversee purchasing, accounts payable, payroll, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Supervise and manage facilities, maintenance, custodial, transportation, and food service operations
  • Administer risk management and insurance programs for the district
    Coordinate long-range facilities planning, construction projects, and capital improvements
  • Ensure compliance with all reporting requirements, audits, and state/federal regulations
  • Works with the Superintendent to facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to maximize efficiency and coherence of district
  • Functions as an integral member of the district leadership team that works collaboratively to ensure that financial, facilities, and operational decisions support student learning, staff effectiveness, and program innovation

Compensation & Benefits
Competitive Salary depending on experience and qualifications ranging from $130,000 – $160,000
Full-time health, dental and prescription benefits included (after 30 days)
