The Asbury Park School District Board of Education seeks an exceptional educational leader with the experience and vision to inspire, lead, and guide our students and staff in achieving academic excellence.
Located in Monmouth County, NJ, the Asbury Park School District provides PK-12 educational opportunities within four schools, which serve approximately 1,225 students. The district is supported by a staff of 300 and has an operating budget of $64.8 million.
Qualifications:
- NJ School Administrator Certificate or Certificate of Eligibility required
- Advanced degree in Educational Leadership preferred
- Experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent preferred
- Experience as a PK-12 classroom teacher preferred
Leadership Profile:
- Skills and experience in Personnel Management, Finance, Planning, and Communications
- A track record of enhancing academic performance across all student demographics
- Experience leading and supporting a diverse student body
- A commitment to being a visible, approachable, and high-integrity presence in the district
- Expertise in optimizing budgets and directing resources to support educational goals
- Proven success in building strong, collaborative relationships with parents, families, and community stakeholders
- Ability to design creative and effective solutions for evolving district needs
- A management philosophy rooted in participation, teamwork, and professional trust
Compensation:
- The district expects to offer a salary in the range of $185,000 – $215,000 along with a compensation package for which employees are eligible, including: medical insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, vacation, etc., subject to NJ regulations.
