Madison Public Schools Board of Education

Website

The Madison Public Schools Board of Education seeks a dynamic, student-centered educational leader to further elevate a district widely recognized for high academic achievement, strong community engagement, and a deep commitment to educating the whole child. With an annual budget of approximately 60 million dollars, this PreK–12 district serves approximately 2,358 students across five schools, supported by 366 highly qualified faculty—nearly 70% of whom hold advanced degrees—and benefits from a long-standing high school partnership with Harding Township. Average class sizes of 19–22 students allow for meaningful individual support and ensure that every learner is known, challenged, and encouraged.

Madison’s comprehensive K–12 curriculum offers diverse and rigorous learning experiences in the arts, world languages, STEAM, science, mathematics, and the humanities, complemented by extensive technology access and advanced study opportunities. Students also enjoy a rich array of extracurricular, athletic, and visual and performing arts programs that promote creativity, teamwork, character development, and broad personal growth.

Nestled in a vibrant, historic community with strong cultural institutions, a thriving downtown, and access to three local universities, Madison provides an exceptional environment for students and educators.

The ideal candidate will bring demonstrated skills and expertise in curriculum, finance, planning and communications and a commitment to equity and meeting the needs of all learners.

  • NJ School Administrator Certificate or Certificate of Eligibility (CE) required
  • Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, district-wide experience or Principal experience preferred
