The new 'Wind Down' program will give conference attendees a chance to gather in smaller, informal groups to discuss topics and interact with fellow board members.
Murphy signed the bill into law just days before the first hearing of the special House committee investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection.
Technical assistance sessions will provide an overview of school mental health services, including strategies for identifying needs, and ideas for how to target COVID relief funds to close gaps in services.

“She devoted her life to education, and she was a vital asset on the school board,” said board president Maria Valado. “She will truly be missed.”
Unvaccinated students must wear masks in the fall.
The censured board member disagreed with a decision by the education commissioner and said her board would take corrective action, though the board had not voted to do so.
Nominees must have five consecutive years of experience as a board of education member and must hold the NJSBA Certified Board Member designation.
