"Robert's Rules of Order"A local school board's parliamentary procedure is a matter of district policy, and is imperative to the overall function of the board. Most boards follow Robert's Rules of Order, which describes how meetings are run, how motions and votes are taken and other procedures. This presentation will be lead by John Bermingham, of counsel to Gray Law Group. Mr. Bermingham will discuss why Robert's Rules are the standard rules for government, professional organizations, and social organizations. He will share why Robert's Rules ensure fairness and allow for the minority to be heard, as well as how to run an effective meeting using Robert's Rules.
