Please take notice that, pursuant to Article IV, Section 4, of the bylaws of the New Jersey School Boards Association, the annual meeting of the Association is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Mercer County Community College. Please take further notice that the last date for submission of formally adopted board resolutions for consideration at the annual meeting is Thursday, March 5, 2026. To be placed on the Delegate Assembly agenda, resolutions approved by the local board must be received in the Association office by the close of business (5:00 p.m.) on March 5, 2026. Resolutions should be emailed to Lauren Liu (lliu@njsba.org) or faxed to the attention of Lauren Liu at 609-278-5250. Please forward, by regular mail, the original signed resolution (See below). Confirmation of receipt of board resolutions will be mailed to the board within one week of receipt.

Resolutions: May 2026 Delegate Assembly
Attn: Lauren Liu
New Jersey School Boards Association
413 West State Street
Trenton, New Jersey 08618
The cover letter should also include the email address and telephone number of a district representative who will be available to provide additional information about the resolution if NJSBA seeks clarification.
NJSBA staff are available to assist with the preparation of resolutions. To receive paper copies of related policies, or assistance in formatting your proposed policy, please call Lauren Liu at 609-278-5250.
Before developing your resolution, boards are encouraged to review other policies related to the resolution being submitted. You may review, print, and/or download policies from the NJSBA Website at www.njsba.org/da. Click on the Manual of Positions and Policies on Educationlink. The Table of Contents allows for easy accessibility of current policies, which you will want to read and be familiar with BEFORE your board adopts a resolution for submission to the Delegate Assembly. Select the alphabetical topic for which you are interested in finding the policy topic. Note: There may be multiple policy numbers for your topic; click each one until you find it.
The Delegate Assembly’s resolution format requires that resolution objectives be presented as broad policy statements for adoption. Policy adopted by the Delegate Assembly is included in NJSBA’s Manual of Positions and Policies on Education. Please note resolutions that do not follow the proper format or are not timely submitted may be removed from the agenda and will not be considered at the Delegate Assembly.
