The New Jersey School Boards Association will host a Leadership Summit for Board Presidents and Vice Presidents on Monday, June 23, 2025, at Manville High School in Somerset County.
This full-day program will consist of engaging professional development sessions which will bring together board of education presidents and vice presidents from across the state to network and build essential leadership skills. The day is designed to empower board members while offering practical strategies for enhancing governance, communication, and collaboration to effectively move districts forward.
The program will include a panel discussion offering insights from superintendents and a board president along with workshops on running an effective meeting, using parliamentary procedure, presiding during times of conflict, strengthening the board-superintendent relationship, and communicating with the public.
Attendees will leave the event equipped with strengthened leadership capabilities, renewed confidence, and valuable connections with peers across the state. The collaborative and interactive nature of the event will foster a deeper understanding of how strong leadership, effective communication, and strategic governance can propel districts forward in achieving their educational missions.
More information will be made available in the coming weeks.
