About NJSBA Board Certification

Board Certification through the New Jersey School Boards Association recognizes boards that have achieved a high level of mastery in essential governance areas. To earn this honor, the full board must complete a series of training sessions focused on:

  • Ethics and Board Roles.
  • Policy Development and Finance.
  • Strategic Goal Setting.
  • Community Engagement and Communications.
  • Direct Impact on Student Achievement.

This recognition underscores the Harmony Township Board of Education’s commitment to providing high-quality educational oversight. By working together to refine their leadership skills, these local officials ensure the district remains focused on its primary mission: the success and well-being of every student.

The presentation was a highlight of the final Warren County SBA meeting of the year, providing an example of collaborative, student-centered school board governance.
