The NJSBA Grants Support Program helps members locate and access funding for essential services, professional development, classroom technology, and innovative projects.

See below for more details on a newly available grant.

COPS School Violence Prevention Program (SVPP)

Designed for member districts looking to strengthen their school safety plans, this program helps fund school safety technology, such as access controls, communication technology, and cameras needed to secure buildings and ensure the success of emergency plan management at K-12 districts.

This program requires schools to partner with and gather a letter of support from their local police or sheriff’s department and a mental health professional. The grant offers up to $500,000 in funding with a 25% cost match requirement.

There is a two-step application process, with the first deadline on June 18, 2025, via Grants.gov, and the second on June 26, 2025, through JustGrants.

More information about this grant program can be found here.
