The Morris School District will celebrate its fiftieth anniversary as the only school district in New Jersey created by a court order during a two-day celebration, Oct. 1 to Oct. 2.

Robert Acerra, who has been involved with the New Jersey PTA for more than 15 years, has joined the New Jersey School Boards Association as lead coordinator, county activities, northern region.

On Sept. 26, Dr. Timothy Purnell, executive director of the New Jersey School Boards Association, issued a statement following the death of former Gov. James J. Florio, who died Sept. 25 at age 85.

This school year, COVID-19 testing will again be offered at no cost to New Jersey LEAs and nonpublic schools. State-sponsored vendors will provide over-the-counter test kits monthly to participating schools.
