Sparta Township Public Schools is a Pre K–12 district serving 3,125 students in five school buildings with a $69 million total budget. Sparta is located in rural Sussex County and is home to over 19,000 residents and 6,000 households. Position is available 12/1/2016. Application Deadline is September 12, 2016.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversight and management of quality educational programs and services for our students through curriculum, staffing, and school business functions
- Community leader to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment to provide opportunity for every child for educational or workplace advancement
- Strong professional leader with innovative strategies to support and implement the policies and vision of the Board of Education
Minimum Requirements: NJ School Administrator Certificate and previous experience as superintendent or assistant superintendent
