Technical assistance sessions will provide an overview of school mental health services, including strategies for identifying needs, and ideas for how to target COVID relief funds to close gaps in services.

“She devoted her life to education, and she was a vital asset on the school board,” said board president Maria Valado. “She will truly be missed.”

The censured board member disagreed with a decision by the education commissioner and said her board would take corrective action, though the board had not voted to do so.
Nominees must have five consecutive years of experience as a board of education member and must hold the NJSBA Certified Board Member designation.
