• NJDOE Increases Literacy Screening Requirement to Three Times Per Year; Provides 26-27 Data Submission Timeline and other Updates

  The New Jersey Department of Education also noted its intent to provide additional technical assistance sessions prior to the beginning of year screener data submission date.

• SEHBC Fails to Adopt Plan Year 2027 Active Employee Rate Increases

  The School Employee’s Health Benefits Commission scheduled an additional vote for September 3rd.

  Student performances will take place on Oct. 20 & 21, 2026. Congratulations to the student performers.

• Governor Sherrill Signs Kids’ Online Safety Bill Package: NJ Kids Code Act, Social Media Research Center

  The law goes into effect Sept. 1, 2026.
