Mike McClure VP for Finance
Maple Shade Board of Education President Michael R. McClure was re-elected to a two-year term as Vice President for Finance of the New Jersey School Boards Association during the organization’s semi-annual Delegate Assembly on May 20, 2017.
The Burlington County resident served in the volunteer position for two-and-a-half years.
McClure has been a member of the Maple Shade school board for 18 years, including service as its president for three years and vice president for four years. He has been a member of the NJSBA Board of Directors for eight years, and was an alternate representative to the board for two years. He earned the designations of Certified Board Member, Master Board Member and Certified Board Leader through the NJSBA Board Member Academy.
He also served as president and vice president of the Burlington County School Boards Association, and has served on numerous committees and task forces. He is also a trustee of the Education Leadership Foundation of New Jersey, a non-profit organization founded by NJSBA to advance the governance of New Jersey’s public schools, through training and research.
McClure works in corporate fleet management and oversees more than 4,500 commercial vehicles in 47 locations. He attended college for business management. McClure has also served as president of his community’s recreation board for more than 15 years, and helped start, and operate, a youth wrestling program in his township.
