Shine the spotlight on some of your most important but unrecognized staff by nominating them for the New Jersey School Boards Association’s Unsung Superheroes in Education Awards.

It is often the work done behind the scenes that helps New Jersey’s schools run smoothly and provide a safe and nurturing environment for students. Staff members who work tirelessly in the background, often without recognition or thanks, have a real impact on schools and do amazing work every single day.

The Unsung Superheroes in Education Awards celebrate school district staff in the following 12 categories:

  • Bus Driver/Aide
  • Cafeteria/Food Services
  • Coach/Club Advisor
  • Crossing Guard
  • Custodian/Maintenance/Building and Grounds
  • Human Resources Professional
  • Librarian/Media Specialist
  • Paraprofessional/Aide
  • School Nurse
  • School Security Personnel
  • Secretary/Administrative Assistant
  • Technology Professional
