The county school board association meetings are valuable for board members to receive professional development and up-to-date information on current education initiatives, legislation and public-school regulations. By attending, you can stay connected with your peers, gain insights into best practices and work together to advance the achievement of all public-school students in New Jersey.
Whether in-person or virtual, participation in any county association meeting earns you one Board Member Academy Credit and one County Meeting credit. These credits are not just a recognition of your participation, but also a step toward enhancing your professional profile through the NJSBA Board Member Academy. Your dedication is rewarded, and your profile is enriched.
All district board members are encouraged to attend the county meetings whether you prefer in-person or virtual meetings. Moreover, you are part of a larger community, with the flexibility to attend meetings in counties other than your own if the topic is relevant to you.
