School Elections

Whether it is the annual school election, which provides voters with the opportunity to choose members of their local board of education; referendum elections, which give citizens a chance to weigh in on bond proposals for school construction projects; or other school ballot questions, school elections provide community members with the opportunity to have a voice in the governance of their local school district.

The New Jersey School Boards Associations provides general information on school elections, as well as historical data on referendum elections and other ballot questions.
