The New Jersey School Boards Association’s board of directors met in-person and virtually on Friday, Nov. 4, 2022. President Irene LeFebvre presided over the meeting from the Association’s headquarters in Trenton.  

Leaders in education share their admiration for Calvin Back, who has served on the Middle Township Board of Education for 60 years, including 30 years as president, in a New Jersey School Boards Association video.

Signed amid a nationwide teacher shortage, the law – S-2563 – will incentivize public school STEM teachers to participate in the program and ensure that nonpublic school students have access to STEM education.

Gov. Phil Murphy signed legislation on June 30 that includes a direct appropriation of $350 million to the New Jersey Schools Development Authority to provide funding for grant projects in regular operating districts.
