In a broadcast memo dated Sept. 12, 2025, the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) provided local education agencies (LEAs) and approved private schools for students with disabilities (APSSDs) with additional information about the New Jersey Student Learning Assessments-Adaptive (NJSLA-Adaptive) and New Jersey Graduation Proficiency Assessment-Adaptive (NJGPA-Adaptive) Fall 2025 Field Test Training.

The full broadcast memo contained the following information from NJDOE:

Asynchronous Training Modules

Asynchronous training modules are now available to everyone,  introducing the platforms and activities associated with the new statewide assessments. While these standalone training modules are optional and do not replace the separate, mandatory training that district testing coordinators (DTCs) and technology coordinators (TCs) must complete, they provide an early opportunity for interested individuals to begin familiarizing themselves with the new adaptive assessment platforms. The training modules can be accessed on the New Jersey Assessments Portal Training Resources webpage. Please note that additional modules will be made available in the coming days.

Mandatory Training

NJDOE is pleased to announce that the registration deadline for all mandatory training has been extended to Friday, Sept. 19.

All training sessions, including in-person sessions, are now open to School Test Coordinators (STCs) as well.

Please use the following link to complete your registration: NJSLA-Adaptive and NJGPA-Adaptive Mandatory Training Registration.

Seats will be filled in on a first-come, first-served basis, so NJDOE encourages you to register promptly.

For additional information on mandatory training sessions and optional training modules, please see the New Jersey Department of Education’s Aug. 22, 2025 broadcast NJSLA-Adaptive and NJGPA-Adaptive Fall 2025 Field Test: Mandatory Training, and other Resources.
