The New Jersey Department of Education Office of Special Education recently announced that it has updated “The New Jersey Dyslexia Handbook: A Guide to Early Literacy Development and Reading Strategies” to incorporate the latest evidence-based practices and information related to dyslexia and other reading disabilities.

Originally developed in collaboration with a committee of experts in reading assessment and intervention, the handbook was first published in September 2017. The revised edition continues to serve as a valuable resource for educators and families, offering guidance on dyslexia, early literacy development and effective strategies for identifying, instructing and supporting students with reading difficulties.
